I work with many credentialed and non-credentialed tax professionals who want to help taxpayers with their tax debt. No matter the credentials there is one stumbling block we all run into, how we will get paid. If you're not familiar with tax representation it is when a tax professional stands in place of a taxpayer to deal with the IRS.
In my firm that looks like the following:
Audit representation
Tax debt negotiation
When I represent my clients they no longer have to speak to the IRS about the situation. I handle that for them. But the whole reason someone would have a tax lien filed against them or a debt they can't pay in full is because they haven't paid the IRS.
Which takes us to the main question - if this person can't pay the IRS how are they going to pay me?
I am going to share with you how to determine if a client can pay you and how to get out of your own way so you can get paid. So that you can focus on and grow your firm.
